Valentines Day - Make It Memorable

By Deborah K Jensen

In just over two weeks, Americans will once again be celebrating Valentines Day. It's one of those days where men fret and squirm over the thought of making sure they don't disappoint their true love on the most romantic day of the year. Just remember guys, Valentines Day is a big thing for women. The best advice, don't forget the day. Do something even if it's nothing major. You will notice what is listed below doesn't have to be costly, but can be very effective. Here are a few ideas for you to make it a memorable day for her and ultimately for you.

1. Reenact your first date. Take her to the place the two of you met, do the same things you did on that very special day.
2. 12 hours of chocolate - stock up on your (or hers) favorite chocolate and make sure she receives one or two every hour for the entire day. She'll love you.
3. Arrange for the two of you to get a couples massage -----------romantic!
4. Make a path from the door to the... bedroom... with beautiful red rose petals. Have a nightie laid out on the bed and a chilled bottle of champagne by the bedside.
5. Take her to an out of the way cozy bar for an after work cocktail. Before hand you have arranged a hotel room near by. Half way through the drinks, you slip her a card with a key in it. Of course you have arranged to have her things so she will be ready.
6. Give you a coupon book good for romantic gestures such as "Good for one free walk in the park, together" or "Good for a night off from the kitchen... no cooking, no dishes."
7. Go to her work and place a Valentines balloon on her car with a note that states: "Meet me at (her favorite place) after work for some romantic Valentines fun."
8. Make a treasure hunt for her. Plant a series of notes taking her from one place to another and at the end, is a romantic gift; jewerly, perfume, lotions... you decide what she would like.
9. Arrange for a babysitter for the kids, make reservations, get dressed up and go out for a fun and romantic dinner.
10. Just don't forget... remember it's a big deal!

If these ideas don't get you thinking... you may need a shot from cupid!
Happy Valentines Day!
